I am trying to move from HDD to SSD by migrating my OS, now the issue is I'm unable to enter BIOS as my keyboard doesn't work in BIOS how should I choose my SSD as boot drive. I bought Torosus SSDI have TOSHIBA HDD I am using Minitool partition wizard to migrate my OS from HDD to SSD, the process was successfull but the wizard didn't deleted OS from HDD plus I didn't booted from SSD it booted from HDD. By looking through Internet it seems I manually have to change boot drive which is not possible on my end due to my Keyboard unable to function in BIOS. What's the fix for me

MIGRATION OF OS FROM HDD TO SSD

Hi,

If I just migrate my Windows 10 from HDD to SSD but since my HDD has two other drives-D & E, besides C; so after that, if I change the boot option to SSD from HDD as shown above, will the data on drives D & E of my HDD will be formatted as well since I'm just migrating my OS from a 1 TB HDD to a 256 GB SSD? My current HDD breakup is C(OS installed)- 148 GB, D- 390GB, E- 390 GB. Please let me know asap

This is an open community, whenever you need you can share the problem so that possible repairs are suggested.

I understand that you would like to migrate from HDD to SSD.

Unfortunately there is no way to migrate just the operating system and keep the rest on the HDD disk as mentioned in the games.

You could clone the disks, that way the HDD would be copied equally to the SSD, but for that the disks would need to be the same size, which is also not the case.

In this situation the only way is a clean install of Windows on the SSD, as unfortunately it is not possible to move Windows.
