Opening a Word doc in a Second Desktop from Explorer

To clarify, the problem is that whenever I try to open another word doc in file explorer in a second desktop it goes back to the desktop in which there already is a word doc open and opens the requested doc there, instead of in the second desktop.

I have tried the repair and it did not help. Any other suggestions?

I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.

 

Computer update - no access to some word docs

Last night my computer did an update - Windows 10 was already running but this was an update to it. I honestly didn't pay that much attention. Today, I can access some of my word documents but not all of them. There is no administrator or permissions
set up on any of the docs. The message reads "Word cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges." It then lists the doc I'm trying to open. I read through the details of the message and did the turn off for 30 seconds but honestly don't
understand anything else it states to do. I created this document on this computer which is not on a network or anything of the sort and did not put any restrictions on it or any others. How do I gain access to it?
