I am trying to put my exported video onto a USB but it keeps saving as VPB as opposed to MP4. How to I change it to MP4 so that I may take the USB to have the video made into a DVD? I have clicked on "finish video" in the upper right hand corner which then gives me the option to export but does not give the choice of MP4. I completed this without the USB plugged into the computer. After 13 hours of export time it is saved to my Photos Legacy. I do not see the option there to save it to a USB either.

    :)

  2. troubled by vpb

    I am a tech-novice.

I have created a video project using Microsoft Video Editor. When I "finish" the video, it saves as a vpb file, which is inaccessible to those who I need to show it to. How can I save it as an MP4 file, or convert the vpb to MP4.

Error: 0x80070020 The file is in use while exporting a video from Photos app

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand the issue that you are facing while exporting a video. We will need the following information from you to help you further:

    • What happens when you try to save the file with a different name?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you have tried?

As per the description in the screenshot, firstly, I would suggest you to close all other instances of Photos app and then try exporting the video.

If that doesn’t help follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Using a different file name

You can try using a different file name and see if that makes a difference.

Method 2: Saving in a different location

I suggest you to try exporting the file in a different location and see if you are able to export it.

Method 3: Creating a new video

If the issue persists, you can try creating the video from scratch and check if that helps.

    Windows Video Editor

Hello. I have put together a 2 hours video and exported it using the Windows photos video editor.

It took so long exporting. After 12 hours, it came back with an error message.

I have a back-up video but it has saved as a VPB file.

    1. How can i export the video?

    2. How can i open the VPB file?

    Thank you.
