    I am trying to reformat/reset my PC to remove any possible malware/hardware and need some help


    I want to do a full reset/reformat of my ssd, and two hdds to remove any chance of viruses or malware. I plan to use these drives immediately after and reinstall windows 10. Should I just use the Reset this PC function, or should I format the drives first?

    Best way to remove problem Malware

    Hi There,

    I am trying to remove a bundle of Malware without success.

    There is a bundle of listed programs which I try to uninstall through the typical Control Panel effort, but they remain listed there:

    Buenosearch Toolbar
    MyPC Backup
    PC Performer
    Speed Test 127
    UnknownFile

    I was looking at this weblink which provides a 5 step process for Buenosearch alone:
    Remove Bueno Search (Removal Guide)

    Not sure how much certain guides can be trusted. One of the first things I read was to download Revo Uninstaller, and I've not heard of it so I'm not sure if it's trustworthy..........

    Windows 10 'Reset this PC' effective for removing malware?

    I've long fallen back on reformatting my hard drive whenever I've got a virus/malware/spyware, but now that I've upgraded to Windows 10 can I put those days behind me because of the 'Reset my PC' function?

    It sounds like it pretty much puts me in a brand new, reformatted-type state.

    Can anyone speak to the efficacy of 'Reset my PC' for getting rid of this crap?

    Recover or Reformat?

    The reformat won't budge?

    I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

    So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

    Any suggestions?
