Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

Cannot update Windows 10 1709 to 22H2 double error messages/failed

I am UNABLE to update Windows 10 1709 to 22H2 using the Windows Update Assistant. It has failed a number of times today. It ALWAYS throws two error message EVERY TIME!


Around 90% step 3, I ALWAYS get the following error message "Modern Setup Host Has Stopped Working". Immediately following I get another error message "Something went wrong. Select try again and if that doesn't work contact support. Error code 0xc190011f" I have tried at least five times already today.

Google has VERY LITTLE information regarding Error code 0xc190011f and the few results are from 2017 and pertain to updating to 1709. I AM on 1709 trying to update to 22H2 and I get the SAME error.

I added 22H2 to the search and every search results says "missing 22H2" throwing quotes around "22H2" only showed junk results.

There seems to be literally nobody else in existence getting Error code 0xc190011f trying to update to 22H2.

This is the same HP 2000 Notebook PC 2000-2b30dx that I was trying to install Windows 10 on with the Windows Upgrade Assistant (not to be confused with the Windows Update Assistant I am trying to install 22H2 with) and I am past the installing Windows 10 part now stuck on getting the latest build.

I tried Windows Update but all that is doing is installing all the updates for 1709 ONLY and now it says that there is no more.

Does anybody know what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
