Windows 10: i am un able to set pin

i dont know what just happened but my pc was running good and without a trouble i use to log into my pc with pin everyday

then all of sudden after logging into my Ms Office 365 account with my UCW College organization log in id and and password creditials i was able to use my pc okay


but next time when i tried to log back in it said not able to use your old pin set up new pin so i logged back into my pc with my text password now when i opened up my setting pin option i removed older pin as it was not work but now their is no add ption it says something went wrong i tried it after restarting it sevral times but noting changed it goes for every other quick sig in creditials here i am attaching image with the mail

No longer able to use PIN on laptop

Hi.

I am able to use my PIN on my tablet and my phone. However, I can no longer use my PIN when signing in on my laptop. It has been many months since I was last able to use it on my laptop. When I select the PIN option now on my laptop, it says I am unable
to log in this way due to your setup settings. I am unsure what steps to be able to use my PIN again on my laptop. I really, really do not want to use a new PIN if at all possible

Pinning "Settings" to the Taskbar

I've tried both suggestions. But thanks to your(?) earlier post, I do have an icon pinned to the taskbar for settings.

Both were my posts In fact, at first I forgot to post the usual steps to pin Settings to taskbar, and rather complicated (which I thought) by suggesting you create a shortcut. Hence the 2nd post. Anyway, glad the shortcut method helped.

 

Cannot set up PIN after Creators Update

In this case, we recommend to repair and set up a new PIN by doing the following steps:

• Open File Explorer and browser to this location:
  

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

• Delete everything within that folder. You must be logged in as the Administrator to do this.
• Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options.
• Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.
• PIN sign in should work moving forward.
