I am unable to boot my desktop computer from Blue Screen

My computer shows a blue screen and tells me that there is no administrator present and will not boot. I have tried a recovery disc and a windows disc to reload windows but it does not even want to recognise a disc is in the drive. how can I fix this and get my computer working. I am running windows 10and things started to go wrong after running the latest windows update update.

    :)

  3. BSOD MEMORY_MANAGEMENT infinite loop

every time I boot my computer, I see the windows logo and a loading symbol. Pretty normal. Now, after Windows finishes loading, I get a blue screen for MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. It keeps rebooting itself and getting the same error.

I have searched around in countless forums and the tiny amount of menus available before boot, but cannot find any solutions or options for something relating to this. I do not have a USB drive to repair from at this time.

(I am also unable to access lock screen or desktop.)

    Any ideas?

    Hi, what was the
? The 'latest' depends on (e.g.)
    - which Windows build you are using
    - whether you have been offered the Creator's upgrade - that is phased over 2-3 months so different people get it at different times

i.e. we can't do more than guess which one you might mean.

Now regarding your PC booting from bootable media, can you confirm you can access the BIOS?
If an older PC you will need to change the boot order so it looks first for your bootable disk.

Put another way, have you previously been able to have it boot from external media?

If you have a DVD drive, you may prefer to burn a bootable medium to that to avoid possible problems creating a bootable USB drive.

Some PCs require you to press a Fx key as they boot, then you choose from the available options to boot from your bootable medium.

Windows updates should have no effect on whether your PC will or will not boot from such a medium.

Check if your bootable medium works using another PC if possible,

    ==================================================
If you have no DVDs or DVD drive, note this way to create a bootable USB disk:
    Creating a bootable USB drive.

Plug the drive into a USB port of a functioning Windows PC.

    Open a command prompt.
    Run diskpart.

Once diskpart is running, enter the following commands in sequence:

    list disk
    select disk #
    - replace # with the actual disk number of the USB flash drive
    clean
    - this will erase the selected drive, make sure it is the USB flash drive!
    create part pri
    format fs=fat32 quick
    active
    exit
    exit

    Then mount your ISO file.
(By default you can simply right click the iso file, and click Mount. However, Mount will not be available if iso files have been associated with a different program).

Copy all the files and folders from the mounted ISO file to the USB flash drive.

(If stuck you can open the iso with 7-zip, a free program).

    Discussion here:
Reinstall Windows 10 from DVD but no DVD drive[/U][/URL]
    - includes content of flash drive.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not really possible to do more than guess what happened.
If you can quote precisely what you see on the screen, someone may be able to make something of that.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
A very useful bootable disk for you to get which allows you to use Win 10 (but not from your hard disk) to potentially explore your disk and to run Macrium's Fix Boot utility (and much more) is

Kyhi's boot disk- available from the top of the Software and Apps section here.

Thanks for the response. The operating system is Win 10 PRO (1607). The last update was from MS a couple of weeks ago.

The machine starts and I can get into CMOS Set up but I can't do anything because it wants a password, which I do not have. After the start up gets past the first stage where the Windows logo is present, disappears and moves into the second stage a flash of a black screen appears then the blue screen, as asking for a n admin password comes up.

I can change the boot sequence but it does not access the recovery disk or USB recovery flash drive, I have also attached an external disc drive and changed the boot sequence to suit with no success.

I am not sure what else I can do, perhaps trip to the nearest computer shop is the next step followed by the garbage bin. Thanks, Afit 12.
