Windows 10: I am unable to delete Guest user account from NELPLWIZ

when i RUN NETPLWIZ THEN I SEE HERE 2 USER ONE IS GUEST AND ANOTHER IS MINE. SO WHEN I WANT TO DELETE GUEST THE GUEST ACCOUNT IT SAYS THE GUEST COULD NOT BE REMOVED..SOLUTION PLEASE

How to remove Guest account?


Try these steps and you should be able to delete the guest account:

1. Press the WIN + X keys and select "Command Prompt (Admin)" from the Quick Access menu.
2. At the Command Prompt, run this command: Code:
   
   Code:

   net user Guest /del

 

Corrupted "guest" account cannot be deleted

As you are facing an issue in deleting Guest account, I suggest you to login with safe mode and then try to delete the account and check.

Step 1: Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

• Right click on Start and click on Control Panel.
• Select User account.
• Click on Manage another account.
• Select Guest account and click on Delete account.

Unable to delete Guest account after upgrading to Windows 10

A window popped up to say "unable to delete Guest" when I performed your troubleshooting steps.

To be clear, there is no "Guest" account on my computer. The only issue is that it appears on the list of Users on the opening screen along with us 2 actual Users. I have clicked on the phantom "Guest" twice, first to try and remove it when Control Panel
and Settings chosen from the Start button didn't work and once simply by mistake. Both times it froze the system and I had to power off using the hardware button, wait a few minutes and power back on, but "Guest" is still with me on the opening screen's list.

I didn't mention it before but the Win 10 upgrade had also brought forward 2 other valid Win 7 users' accounts who no longer use this computer. I gave them their saved games and photos, videos and docs on thumb drives and deleted them easily along with Win
7 Guest data files and App data, but only the phantom "Guest" now remains on the opening screen with my wife and me.
