Windows 10: I am unable to remove my son from my family account.

I tried removing my son from the family account, which I am the only organizer, but it gave me the below error message.You can't remove Jackson from the family groupFamily members under statutory age need an adult's consent to join a family group. Only the adult that granted consent for Jackson can remove this family member. Ask the family organizer who granted Jackson consent to remove Jackson from the family group.

Unable to remove child account from Family

Thanks Elise. Your suggestion worked. I contacted live chat option via "Get Help" app.

Just for others who read this in future I had performed the following steps to solve the issue.

1. Log into Microsoft Family Safety
   
2. Select 3 dots on the top right of child's card & select "Remove consent for this child's account"
   
3. It then warns, "You are about to remove parental consent for this child. They will no longer have permissions to access certain Microsoft sites and services."
   
4. Click on "Remove consent" button
   
5. Go back to Microsoft Family Safety home page. Wait for few seconds for settings to reflect. The child account will disappear from family home page.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble adding your son to your family safety group. The error code you provided is not familiar to me. However, according to Microsoft Support, you can try the following steps to fix the issue:

• Make sure that your son’s account is a child account and not an adult account.
  
• Check if your son’s account is already part of another family group. If it is, then you need to remove it from that group first before adding it to your family group.
  
  - let him login to family.microsoft.com to check if he belongs to a family group or not
  
• Try adding your son’s account again after a few hours or days.

Family Safety not working on my son's account

I have checked, rechecked, reset, turned off, turned on the settings and set up the family multiple times before I even asked my question. I removed my son's account and added it again, and it did nothing.
