Windows 10: I am unable to shrink my C drive

Discus and support I am unable to shrink my C drive in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Hi. I am trying to shrink my C drive. I have 611.33GB free of 933GB, but when I try to shrink it, it tells me I can only shrink about 72GB off of it....     I am unable to shrink my C drive


    Hi. I am trying to shrink my C drive. I have 611.33GB free of 933GB, but when I try to shrink it, it tells me I can only shrink about 72GB off of it. When I looked in the EventViewer, I got this message:A volume shrink analysis waas initiated on volume OS C:. This event log entry details information about the last unmovable file that could limit the maximum number of reclaimable bytesDiagnostic details:- The last unmovable file appears to be: \$MFT::$DATA- The last cluster of the file is 0xd6961bf- Shrink potential target LCN address: 0x507241f- The NTFS file flags are: -S--D- Shrink phase

    unable to shrink c drive

    hello,

    i am unable to shrink my c drive as it is showing not enough space. but as seen in screenshot there is space of 135 gb that can be shrinked and i am entering value less than 135 gb then also it is showing not enough space.. please help..

    having trouble shrinking my C drive

    I tried all the basic steps required for shrinking my C drive, and nothing work.

    I am unable to shrink my C drive

    Unable to shrink the C drive beyond 455 GB

    I was trying to partition my 1 TB hard drive in new windows 10 laptop from HP by using disk management tool . I would like to keep the following partition sizes:

    C Drive : 200 GB

    D Drive : 400 GB

    E Drive : 300 GB

    However I am unable to proceed as the shrink cannot be beyond 50% and it doesn't allow Volume C to be less than 455 GB.

    Will I be able to successfully shrink it to 200 GB in c drive and does it have any disadvantages doing so?
