  3. Windows 10 audiodg.exe

    Hi Brian,

The audiodg.exe file is being utilized for all audio processing. It serves as the audio engine for the operating system which increases the CPU usage.

To isolate this issue, we suggest disabling the audio enhancements processed by the audiodg.exe file. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click the speaker icon in the right-hand notification area on the taskbar.
    • Select Playback Devices from the menu.
    • Double-click the device with a green check mark.
    • Click the Enhancements tab at the top.
    • From the list of enhancements, uncheck all of them, or click the Disable all enhancements checkbox.
    • Click OK to save the changes and close the window.
    • Click OK to close the Playback Devices window.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Regards.

Going from 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 10

    Hi Edward,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

It is completely dependent on the Architecture of your system. If your system type is 32bit it is not recommended to move to 64 bit operating system.

Therefore I would suggest you to follow the steps and check your system type:

    1. Press Windows key + R to go to the run command, type "control system" and click Enter.

    2. In the System type, if it is mentioned "x64 based processor" then you can upgrade to Windows 10 for 64 bit.

For more information on installation, kindly refer to the suggestion by ZigZag3143 (MS - MVP)

    Windows 10 32 bit to 64 bit

Hope this helps. Please respond if you have further related queries.
