I am using windows pro 10 but virtually all downloads are pending why

Windows authomatic downloads are all pending.

I recently had to reinstall Windows 10. Now my Windows updates all say pending but they are all pending. I have tried all the steps suggested in the community forum all except doing a clean installation. What can I do. I upgraded from Windows 8 several
years back and now I have Windows 8 and Windows 10 downloads. What can I do

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
