Windows 10: I bought a new CPU and now Microsoft is asking me to buy a new key for it. I have my old...

When I search through the Microsoft website, it has me log in and then says they sent me a "code" to my email. The email never arrives. Never. I checked spam folder and nothing. I've done this over and over and get the same results.

Activate windows after new Mainboard+CPU

Hello Microsoft community,

i recently installed a new mainboard and CPU and soon i got asked to activate windows by the annoying notification in the bottom right.

now i bought a retail key which is supposed to be re-activatable but it wont let me for some reason use it anymore.

as i learned the Key is bound to hardware but im obviously not gonna revert to my old cpu+mb is there anything i can do except for buying a new key?

Old windows 8.1 key -> windows 10 -> New Computer

I bought a computer many years ago which had Windows 8.1 installed on it (this was >4 years ago). About 4 years ago, I bought a computer but I did not buy a Windows license for it, instead, I moved my 8.1 license to computer number 2. Some time later, I
upgraded to Windows 10 using my 8.1 key, this worked and I had a legit version of Windows. Now, I bought a lot of part during Black Friday and replaced everything in my computer except the hard drive and the graphics card, so it's basically a new computer.
I also bought a new SSD where I thought I'd install Windows. So I wiped my old Hard-Drive completely and installed Windows 10 on my new SSD. But I can't activate Windows on the new computer, I don't have my old key (I don't even know if I can use it to install
Windows 10) and the computer doesn't recognise "itself" since all the parts are new. Please help me, I would rather not spend more money on a new License but I have no idea what to do! I've tried to look for a digital license but since I didn't prepare it
earlier I don't have it. I can see my old computer in the list of devices connected to my Microsoft account but I can't do anything with it.

Bought a New SSD

i bought a new 500gb SSD and would like to use it instead of my old hard drive. I have a windows product key and tried to download the windows 10 installation media to a usb but it said there was a problem. If i just take out my old hard drive and plug in
my new SSD, can i just reboot my computer and instert my windows activation key? Or do i have to do the windows 10 installation media, an if so how to i avoid getting the error?
