I bought a HP Laptop used. It has McAfee security and a US Cellular account. When I turn it on, it goes right to A US Cellular page that asks for Administrators security code and warns me not to use the computer or I am violating FCC regulations. How can I get rid of all of this and start anew?

My hp laptop wont turn on

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

Cellular/SIM connection not available/disappearing

A faulty cellular adapter is one of the possible reasons why the cellular connection is disappearing from the laptop. A disabled adapter in the Network Connections Settings can also be the cause of this issue. We suggest you to enable the cellular connection
in the Network Connections settings. You can follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key.
• Type View Network Connections.
• Press the Enter key.
• Right-click on the cellular adapter and click Enable.
