Windows 10: I bought Minecraft windows 10 edition at full price last year, can I get java edition...

I purchased Minecraft windows 10 edition through the microsoft live store last year, I was invited to play online with my little brother and some friends but the server is running on java edition not windows 10.


Windows 10 edition was given away free to people who had already bought java edition when it launched but as far as I can tell I would have to buy java edition all over again to be able to play with my brother, which seems a little unfair.


Is there some workaround I can employ or deal I can get to get the same game my little brother convinced me to buy last year, which is what I thought I was buying from windows live store but is instead the incompatible windows branded version?

Cannot get Minecraft Java Edition for free after purchasing Minecraft Windows 10 edition

I accidentally purchased Minecraft Windows 10 edition without knowing that i cannot get Minecraft Java edition for free by purchasing windows 10 edition .Mojang is providing free windows 10 edition for those who purchased Minecraft Java Edition.Why doesn't
it work other way around when the price is same for both products.Pleease help me.

About a year ago i bought minecraft java edition and it came with a code for minecraft windows 10 edition. Is it possible to redeem the code on an xbox 1?

please help, i am on pc, i bought minecraft windows 10 edition thinking it gave me the java edition too, i would buy the java edition too but my country 's currency is too bad. like i bought the game for 76 of my country's currency. other people buy it for
6 dollars i think. so please, cant i get the java edition or something? cant i exchange?
