Windows 10: I bought minecraft windows ten and i still cant sign into my microsoft account and join friends

when ever I open minecraft on my pc windows 10 is fully up to date it says i have to buy the game again to sign in and join my friends

Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Windows 10 unable to sign into Microsoft Account

I just bought Minecraft to play with friends on Xbox and Switch but I have to be able to log into my Microsoft account to join their server. When I try to log in I get an error that says "We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account, but something went
wrong". I can play the game but it doesn't let me play with friends. Things I've tried:

-Restarting computer

-Deleting and re-downloading

-Deleting save data

 

My son wants to play Minecraft with friends of his, but can't join them..

We bought a PC so he could play Minecraft. We don't have X box.

We paid for Minecraft, but it seems he isn't allowed to join any Relms? I think his friends are using Bedrock Editition

I have looked under "family" and "settings" and I don't see why he can't do so.

Do I need to purchase a new Minecraft account for him and set it up differently?

One suggestion I heard was to "remove him from my family" but that seems extreme, as it means I could no longer control any screen time, add money to his account, ect.

I have tried to follow what I found on mine-craft help - I went to Microsoft account settings, then family, then found my child's account but didn't see away to "allow" him to "join multiplayer games" or "create and join new clubs"
