    Reset Protection enabled on a phone I purchesed at a yard sale

    I purchased a windows phone at a yard sale out of town. I now find Reset Protection is enabled. Since I have no way to contact the seller, am I out of luck?

    Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

    Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

    PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
    followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

    Suggestions?.

    Hi,

    As per this link, you really need to contact the previous owner so they could log in and release the device.
    However, do you happen to know anyone living near the place where the yard sale happened? Perhaps you could ask them if they could inform the person who sold it to release the device.
