Windows 10: I bought my laptop which display resolution is 1366 * 768. i did not know about display...

I bought my laptop which display resolution is 1366 * 768. i did not know about display resolutio then . but how can i upgrade to 1920 px . please answer if it is paid no problem .

Display Settings (1366 X 768)

Because of certain programs I use I find that the display settings on my Laptop (Win10) set at 1366 X 768 is absolutely perfect for me.
Consequently I am/was using, (I believe), the same display settings on my desktop.
Now this is the second time after a Windows 10 update that my display settings have reverted back to the recommended settings of 1280 X 1024. This does not work or appeal to me because of my programs.
Two questions:
1. How do I prevent Windows 10 updates from altering my preferred Display settings? And why does it do this???
2. How do I get my Display settings back to: 1366 X 768? It is not one listed among the 4 or 5 that are!

Display resolution

Hi Since a windows update my display resolution has change from 1024 x 768 to 1366 x 768, when I go into settings-display it shows resolution set at 1366 x 768 and greyed out and I am unable to change to the setting I want i.e 1024 x 768, I am using a HP 1730 monitor 4:3
Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

Change Display Resolution from 1366x768 to 1920x1080

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There are two versions of that laptop model, one has a FHD (1920 x 1080) display and the other has a HD (1366 x 768) display

If your model is the one with the HD (1366 x 768) display then you cannot increase your resolution to 1920 x 1080 that resolution will not be listed because there is simply not enough pixels on the screen to produce that resolution
