Activate Retail windows 11 pro key on a PC with an OEM license

Hey there,

I just recently bought a windows 11 pro retail license key, I intend to use it on my OEM activated windows 11 pro PC, but I don't know how to remove the OEM license first.

Is there anyway to do this, I don't intend to use the OEM license on another PC.

I upgrade my PC very often and an OEM license is not very convenient, I now realize how much I regret buying a preactivated PC.

 

OEM Windows Vista Re-Installation

I have always bought full retail copies of windows from 98, 2000 & XP pro
I did this because I couldnt get hold of OEM copies and only had access to stores with full boxed versions.

I see that a few places are selling Windows Vista OEM for really low prices and was wondering what the catch is. (Vista Ultimate for just over £100)

I do a lot of upgrading and overclocking so sometimes things break or crash and I end up having to re-activate.

Can I do this with an OEM version (Re-install the pc like 10 times in a year?)

 

windows 11 pro oem to retail?

i purchased a prebuilt pc that came with a windows 10 pro oem license eligible for the windows 11 upgrade. i have since upgraded to the windows 11 pro oem version. my question is if i purchase a windows 11 pro retail license, can i change the installed version by changing the license info on the pc using the new retail license?
