Miracast only seems to still support wired connections and not a home network. So that's out. Don't have a chrome device so Chromecast is out. I can cast any photo or video to my TV since it's a media device on my server. There is no piece of software that let's you do this with a display source or something?

Unable to Cast to Device to my Smart TV

None of my movies will cast. Tried mp4, AVI & mkv.
Haven't tried turning off the TV yet.

Thought I would check below Network discovery services. All were running set to Automatic, however SSDP Discovery is running but startup = Manual? Is this correct? Could this be causing the error?

    • DNS Client
    • Function Discovery Provider Host
    • Function Discovery Resource Publication
    • SSDP Discovery

Unable to Cast to Device to my Smart TV

    Thanks Bree.

The other similar thread to this says 'Cast to' used to work to a Samsung TV but now it doesn't. This would imply something is 'wrong' with our Win 10?

Can anyone suggest some more troubleshooting steps to try to determine what the issue is?

Can I cast photos to TV using Chromecast?

I have pictures in Windows Pictures sub-folders and need to cast them to the TV. I tried to cast them using Chromecase but it didn’t work. I have my computer and TV on the same home network. Help, please.
