i can download a trojan 1 day and it will get hdd data destroyed thats why windows 10 update is the worst operating system ever and update system ever thats why users like windows 7 because u can install all updates in just only one day thats why im switching to windows 7

Windows 10

its already there. there is a hard set factory image from samsung. problem is it takes a long time to get that backup into the drive again and destroys the C drive data.

so looks like i wont be trying windows 10 anytime soon *Stick Out Tongue

 

Windows 10 renamed hdd name and then destroyed all data on external USB3 HDD

I have 2 identical external hdd's Maxtor 4TB one is the main another is its backup.

They are used for my work and had all my projects/photos.

Both were formatted in NTFS and used with MAC OSX. And from time to time was used with Windows 10.

#1 hdd label was Maxtor

#2 hdd label was Maxtor_Backup

They had almost identical structure except for several temporary folders which are not required for syncing

They both were working absolutely fine with MacOS connected together and separately,

Also they both were working fine with Windows 10 connected separately,

But today I've connected them both at once. Right after that Windows 10 renamed Maxtor to Maxtor_Backup

and now only one HDD was visible in Windows 10.

I've disconnected both and connected the main one, it was still titled as Maxtor_Backup all the folder structure was the same, but I couldn't get into any folder with the message The Directory was not available. The disk had more than 3TB of very valuable
data of all my projects.

I've run Check disk which suggested to fix errors so I pressed Ok...

After several minutes of work all the existent data disappear, except for initial manufacturer folders of the disk. All my data is gone,

the disk is empty, 3TB+ is free now... WT?

I lost 2 weeks of my work

Apparently Windows 10 messed up 2 identical external drives so by some reason it's overwritten the files table of one disk to another...

How should I get all my data back?
