Windows 10: I can hear from my headset but the mic isnt working

Hi I have a Turtle Beach recon 70 and lately I have on and off issues with the headset mic working. I tried another one and I also get the same issue. I think it might be my PC. I will post my system model and system manufacture. if someone can help that would be great.System Model: MS-7C56System Manufacture: Micro-Star International Co, Ltd.

mic isnt working

my brand new mic works on other devices but refuses to give a squeak on my pc. its a usb mic. ive done everything suggested in help forums and it still isnt working. ive also tried with airpods and none of the options i have worked, yet they worked elsewhere, so i know this is a windows issue. there is no error message, the mic is unmuted, the input is correct, the mic is connected, theres just static on the other side when i test it in game and in settings. mic volume is at 100% and it still isnt working. PLEASE HELP!!!!

This issue may have been caused by an outdated driver. To assist you better, kindly provide us more details by answering the following questions:

• Are you getting a notification when you connect the headset mic to your computer?
  
• Is the headset mic detected under Device Manager?
  
• Have you tried using the headset mic on another device? If so, are you getting the same issue?

Meanwhile, you can run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do this, refer to the steps below:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting, and then hit
  Enter.
  
• Choose Hardware and Sound.
  
• Select and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Headset mic not working

I upgraded from windows 8.1, and i used a Turtle beach XO7 headset and it worked fine.

I updated to windows 10 and my headset mic isnt being used, i went to recording devices and it doesnt show up but the web cam mic. the audio plays fine through the headset, but the mic itself doesnt work. I dont know if it even has drivers, its an Xbox one
mic.

I also have another mic from Xbox one that has the same problem, Please help.
