Windows 10: I can install but not run a CD-ROM game from 2006.

The download runs smoothly and without issues, when I have the shortcut to start the game and press the logo nothing happens and the game doesnt load. I get no error messages or anything. I tried to uninstall and re-install numerous times and checked that the CD-rom is without scratches or other issues. The game is from 2006 has these system requirements:Mouse, CD_ROM-drive min. 4x speed, soundblaster soundcard or 100% compatibility, windows XP: Pentium 3, 128 MVB ram. Which my computer should go way above. Can anybody help with this?
