Windows 10: I can never see my passwords because I am stumped by the user name and password. Seems like...

I use a picture to sign in to my computer. My passwords are saved with Chrome. To see the passwords, change them etc. Windows wants me to authenticate using a password. I just changed the password. This has been going on for years. Years. It works only by some other temporary mechanism futsing with google to get through or use a chromebook. So what is so special or convoluted that I can't have the means by which to set a password and make it work in windows?

To assist you better, I would like to know whether the accounts are local account or Microsoft account. Are you trying to remove the login password?

If you are trying to remove the login password, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press windows key + R to open command prompt, and type "netplwiz"
• Uncheck "user must enter user name and password to use this computer", then click "ok"
• Enter your user name and password, then click "ok"
• Restart your computer.

I would like to inform you that it is recommended to activate the password for security reasons.

Installed Linksys router a week ago and both user name and password are admin.

User Name: (Blank)
Password: admin

or

User Name: admin
Password: admin
