Windows 10: I can no longer search on my START menu W10

I used to just pop up the start button and start typing stuff and it would show me the stuff I needed even if it was let's say "dxdiag". I even remember specifically that at one point you changed this and asked "do you want a search bar" and I said no cause I took up space. For a few days when I start typing nothing happens, then a "waiting" and small "lag" occurs and then the **** "search bar" disappears by itself. It's insane. What happened or do I have some issues with my PC?For example I would type snip or calc and the snipping tool would appear or the calculator, plus other possible searc

What a PROPER start menu should look like

Hi there

Was just suggesting that the logical place for a search function is surely at the TOP of a list - as W10 is still in "Design phase" I can't see anything wrong in making suggestions that could be popular. The fact that I was showing a Linux start menu was irrelevant -- just giving an example where the search is at the logical place at the TOP of a list.

Surely when an OS is still in some sort of design stage this is the time to suggest what I would imagine to be a sensible logical improvement.
