I can not activate my windows 10 version although I have original CD and it is the first time I am using it and first to use its product key.


I tried to run the troubleshooter, re-entering the product activation key, and contact virtual agent but with no solution.


I get this message:


"We can't activate this Windows on this device at this moment. You can try activating again later, or go to the Store to buy genuine Windows. Error code: 0xC004F025"

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Build 10240 - Any expiry on ACTIVATED versions??

I was going to do that for my benefit because of the way I have my partitions setup and to be legal with the EULA that isn't a step by step instruction. Right now I am waiting to see if build 10240 is actually the release build and yes I know at lot of people don't believe 10240 is the release version. I still may need to do that if build 10240 is not the release version.

Ok, thanks - I was commenting on your steps you listed in post# 76

Suggesting that you might be able to skip the step highlighted above. I don't know if this will work or not, but suspect that it might. Curiosity is all - if you feel like testing that (skipping the restore image to Win7 step), great - otherwise I'll try it when I get around to upgrading in 2016.
