Windows 10: I can not get my computer to install apps to secondary drive

Discus and support I can not get my computer to install apps to secondary drive in Microsoft Windows 10 Store to solve the problem; I had this issue with my old computer and we thought it was because the secondary HDD was dying because once we replaced the drive it fixed the issue....     I can not get my computer to install apps to secondary drive


    I had this issue with my old computer and we thought it was because the secondary HDD was dying because once we replaced the drive it fixed the issue. Well, I bought an HP Pavilion recently and went to install my games from the MS Store only for them not to work. This is the same drive that I just bought. I installed it into my new PC since it only came with a 250GB M.2 SSD. I have no issues installing to the secondary drive with Steam, Origin, GOG Galaxy, or Epic. It is only the MS Store.I've gone into the storage settings and tried to change the location that new apps install only to get an

    Please answer these questions to assist you better.

    • Do you get any error message?
    • Which apps are you referring to?

    Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    Step 1: Install all app updates from Windows Store.

    Check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store

    Step 2: I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

    Run the Windows App Troubleshooter

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    I can not get my computer to install apps to secondary drive

    System restore and secondary drives


    So my setup. I have 2 drives in my computer an SSD and HDD. The SSD came shipped with my computer and I installed the HDD as a secondary drive. I've been using it as storage for all my pictures music etc. I've also installed a couple programs on there. My question is if I do a system restore can I do it without wiping out the secondary drive? How would I go about doing it? Step by step. What would happen to the program's installed on there after the restore?
