Windows 10: I can not get permission from folders in one drive to upload photos from my Samsung 8

I am having trouble with one drive sharing photos from my Samsung phone to one drive, it keeps saying folders don't have permission. Where do I change that

Photo upload

Usually a digital camera will show up as a Drive in File Explorer, open that drive one of the folders with pictures on it from the camera, sometimes on a MicroSD too. Basically it's not recognizing the camera at all in file explorer ? How is it being hooked up, USB ? Camera App in Windows 10, i never used it, in All apps in start screen. List the model Samsung you have.

  What exactly happens when you try to upload photos?
  
• 
  Do you receive any error message/code?
  
• 
  Is the camera detected on your computer?
  
• 
  Are you able to access the photos on camera when connected to the computer?
  

I suggest you to check if you have permissions to the folder to which you are uploading the photos.

Follow these steps and give permissions to the folder:

1. Press
Windows key + X on the keyboard.

2. Click on
Command Prompt (Admin).

3. At the command prompt, type “takeown /f <foldername> /r /d y” without quotes and then press
ENTER. (Replace <foldername> with the path of the folder).

4. Then, type “icacls <foldername> /grant administrators:F /T” without quotes and hit enter. (Replace <foldername> with the path of the folder).

Using the above mentioned commands, we took the ownership of the folder and then assigned the Administrators group
Full Control Permissions for the folder.



Some camera required a specific software to be installed so that the import of photos can be stated from the software.

Move all the photos to the system and then use the photo app to check if that helps. Refer the Windows help article for details.

Uploading photos to ebay. December 2016

Hi Dee,

For us to better assist you with this issue, we would like to ask the following questions:

• What browser did you use when uploading photos in Ebay?
• From which location are you trying to upload the photos?
• Are the photos saved on the Pictures folder, or on the desktop?

To isolate this problem, we suggest using a different browser in uploading the photos. If the photos are saved on the desktop, moved it in the Pictures folder and try uploading again.
