It wants the pin or password but I have forgotten, plus my MS account is provided by go.daddy so I can go to the sign-in page that way. I tried several of the work around posted but they did not work. I was not able to reset my machine back to factory with any of the methods suggested.

• Have you made any significant changes prior to this issue?
• Have you tried to login using a different Microsoft account or local account on the computer?

Fingerprint reader missing from log-in screen on Surface Pro 4

I understand your concern about fingerprint reader on the your device, do le us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• Have you made any changes to the device(Hardware/ Software) prior to this issue?
• Have you connected any other external devices to your Surface Pro 4?
• Are you using PIN on the logon screen to log-in to your device?

Correct PIN will not allow login on Surface Pro 4

MNy Surface Pro 4 "all of the sudden" started requiring my PIN in addition to the retinal scan (pass) and Password (pass). It accepts the PIN, gives me "Welcome" and then says incorrect PIN. The PIN works fine on the older Surface 2 I have. I can't
set up a local admin since I can't get onto the machine!
