Windows 10: I Can Only Copy and Paste Video Files from my phone Directly into the Desktop.

I will get no response if I try to copy files directly into a folder. I checked the Permissions for the desktop, and it was set to Read Only. I unset Read only and apply the changes.I Double check to see if Read only in Unset, and it is not. It remains Set to Read Only.my user is set to administratorI double check the Security privilege settings for /usersit doesn't have full ControlI set it to full control but i remain to not have full controlCan I even Change the Privileges settings given my user account didn't have full Control? I just want to copy files into a folder instead of the deskt

Copy and pasting videos files

I teach and I edit videos for this.

I keep one ('Parent') copy in my video folder and put a copy in the 'teaching' folder.

Is there a way I can just create a link to the 'parent' file without using more disc space by copying and pasting the file?

Right clicking on the parent file doesn't give any other options except cut, copy and paste

 

Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
