Windows 10: I can record a narative in Movie Maker 2012, it plays back in MV, but when I save the movie...

Hello, Y'all!Windows 11. Always updated.I've been using Movie Maker forever. Probably since its inception. If I use voice access, it hears me when I test the mic, but when I say start listening, it says, try saying start listening, so I know it hears me. It worked fine with the old speech recognition. I tried Movavi, I loaded the video, saved it as an Mp3, because that's all the trial allows, played it back and heard me just fine!But, $100.00 a year? I'm an old retired fart. I can't afford that, and I really don't want to "try" to learn a new app, when I know MV like the back of my hand.

Why Microsoft again abandon Movie Maker 2012 ? If as Microsoft for Image animation Gif into Movie Maker 2012 will very good, will better than compare with Movie Maker 6.0, but the it again lacks Image animation Gif ?

As a first step, I suggest repair Movie Maker and check if it works for you. This is to check if there is any missing or damaged files for Windows Essentials.

Follow the steps below repair Movie Maker:

1. Press Windows + R, input AppWiz.cpl, then click
OK.

2. Search for Windows Essentials 2012 on the list and then select it.

3. Click Uninstall/Change.

4. Click Repair all Windows Essentials programs.

"Check the Recent project list of your Movie Maker. Just press ALT + F in Movie Maker then you can see the list there.

Also, if you are using Movie Maker 2012, there is an auto-save file of your project located here: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Movie Maker\Autosave.wlmp Kindly go to that location and check the auto-save file. If you are successful,
just continue working using that project file and do not forget to save"
