Windows 10: I can see my internal speakers but they're not playing sound. Sound is turned way up....

I can see my internal speakers but they're not playing sound. Sound is turned way up. There is only one speaker option and they're chosen.

no sound plays through internal speakers

I cannot get any sound to play through the internal speakers of my laptop. It did play previously. The speaker in the task bar has a red and white x and the trouble shooter says no speakers headphones plugged in. When I pull up the info on sound it lists
its location at HDMI port. Suggestions?

I suggest you to run the sound troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “troubleshooting” in search box and type Enter.
• Click on View All on top left corner.
• Click on Playing sound from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

USB Speaker not playing sound
