  1. I Cannot access connected device via USB as the wpdmtp.inf file is missing

I tried to connect my phone Poco X3 as well as One Plus 10R but they weren't showing so I searched for the problems online. I have tried many solutions but they did not work.I tried installing the driver but it says detected but cannot install. img-1I tried locating the wpdmtp.inf and installing it but it says file missing. img-2I also found a video telling to download some sort media pack but I found an article saying if you have windows 11 home or pro you don't need the media pack its already installed.

    :)

  2. Unable to access USB device

Hi, I have Microsoft 11. I have inserted a USB device but I am not seeing the device under "This PC". I am seeing the device listed under "Settings", "Bluetooth & Devices", "other devices" (connected to USB 3.0). . What step can I take to access this device?

    Touchpad (or mouse) INF file

    Hi Dave,

I could find "msmouse.inf" under the Events tab in the past and actually inserted this INF file. But, it doesn't load the touchpad driver. It seems to load "mouhid.sys" but for some reason, it doesn't show a mouse pointer on WinPE. Thanks for your suggestion though.

I Cannot access connected device via USB as the wpdmtp.inf file is missing

USB 2 devices not reading after win 10 upgrade, latest INF driver installed.

    Hi,

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your device. Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

    • Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
Method 2: I suggest you to update the USB Drivers.

Try updating the latest USB devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the USB drivers:

    a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

    b. Expand the USB driver.

    c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

    d. Restart the computer and check.

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.
