I Cannot Access My PC with Administrative Privileges

My issue with context 1 and without context 2. 1 I was downloading some programs to run on my PC and I don't usually run Windows anti-virus or anything. I did a deep check and there was a "severe" threat so I removed it, and I messed with the user controls, I did NOT remove administrator privileges from anything, this was recent so I would remember or remove my account. I restarted my PC and the account "Admin" did not exist. I have 3 other accounts, 2 of them are my brothers and one of them is called My name -owner. That one supposedly has admin; it has always been there but I have

  2. Windows 10 PC not recognizing administrator privileges.

    Hi Jade,

Damages within the components of your user profile can be one of the possible reasons why you are experiencing an issue with using its administrator privileges. To troubleshoot this concern, we suggest creating a new admin user profile. To be able to create
a new administrator user profile, you would need to enable the built-in administrator in your Windows 10 device.

To enable the built-in administrator account, follow these steps:

    • Using Search type CMD to open the Command Prompt. Right click on CMD then choose Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Yes.
    • In the Command Prompt window, type net user administrator /active:yes and then hit the Enter key.
    • You should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out the user profile you are currently using, and you’ll now see the Administrator account as a choice on the login screen.
    • Using the built-in administrator account, create a new admin user profile.
    • Log into the new admin user profile.
    • Check if the same issue persists.

Note: The built-in administrator account has more privileges than a regular administrator account. Privileges that can easily generate a conflict on your system. We only recommend enabling the built-in administrator account for troubleshooting purposes and
you have to disable it once you are done.

To disable the built-in administrator account, access the Command Prompt with administrator privileges. Type the command
net user administrator /active:no and then hit the Enter key. The built-in administrator account will now be disabled, and shouldn’t show up on the login screen.

    Update us with the results.

  3. Never prompted to elevate privilege as administrator

OK, I tried Dinesh's tutorial. First, here's a list of accounts for my machine:

I held down Shift and rebooted, and got the WinRE splash screen. I was prompted to log in, with "Dan" my only option:

I Cannot Access My PC with Administrative Privileges 49683d1485959894t-never-prompted-elevate-privilege-administrator-img_0811.jpg

If I clicked on "Don't see your account", I got this:

I Cannot Access My PC with Administrative Privileges 49686d1485959894t-never-prompted-elevate-privilege-administrator-img_0810.jpg

Is it suggesting that "Dan" is an administrator account? Oh, that it were so... I went back, selected the "Dan" account, and it booted into command prompt. I then attempted the first of Dinesh's instructions:

Hello darkness, my old friend... "Access Denied."

  4. I Cannot Access My PC with Administrative Privileges

A required privilege is not held by the client // help please

My problem: A required privilege is not held by the client shows up when I try to run any executable file. I am the only administrator on all household PC's. I have at least five Windows 10 PC's in the household.

For a couple of months I had my problem on only one desktop PC (v1909) which I have dealt with by using Safe Mode when I absolutely had to do so. As of today I can add one laptop (v2004) to my list with this problem. I read the one post that I could find and I tried the suggestion today on both of the problem PC's to no avail. (Tweaking.com's cautious repair tool, observing the cautious steps, and apply only the relevant fixes for permissions.) I have at least one other PC with v2004 and no privilege problem and at least one other PC with v1909 and no privilege problem.

Previously I had tried these six methods:
    1. Run the Program as Administrator
    2. Use Command Prompt to run the file
    3. Disable The Admin Approval Mode
    4. Disable UAC using Registry Editor
    5. Change Sharing Permission
    6. Take ownership of the Root Drive

Thank you for any new suggestions or known fixes . . . .
