Windows 10: i cannot add a shared network printer.

Hi,i try to connect a shared printer but receive error when i try to connect. it says windows couldn't connect to the printer. some of my pc can add the printer and some got error.what is the problem? all firewall is off.

Hi Greg,

Apologies for not being more efficient but there were too many things for me to manage.

I went through the process you suggested with the printer but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I know very little about these machines but it seems to me that

my Prime computer might not be connected to the Network as it should be, if that is possible.

When I open the Network icon, on the left side of File Explorer, I see the computer listed as a Media Device but not under the Network heading. But the Secondary computer is listed under Network. Also the printer appears in the Printers & Scanners list on the Prime computer but not on the Secondary one.

(The sharing settings are set up on both the Primary and Secondary computers.)

• What is the error message you get, while accessing the file or the Printer using Windows 7 PC?
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC, prior to this issue?
