Windows 10: I cannot change my Lock screen picture after a recent windows 11 update 22H2 OS build...

I cannot change my Lock screen picture after a recent windows 11 update 22H2 OS build 22621.3880. Even if I try and change it in personalization settings it doesn't work Oddly I manually enter lock screen mode via the User iconthe one used to sign out I will see the image I selected but if I restart or shutdown my PC the lock screen shows just a black screen

Help! Can't change Lock Screen picture!

Hi, For some reason, since upgrading to Win 10 Pro 20H2, I am unable to set a custom lock screen picture. I can go to Settings\Personalization\Lock Screen and make my desired selection, but the system never honors that selection. I've even tried briefly changing my user permissions to Administrator...but still, no luck. (NOTE: I have no problem setting a desired custom desktop background picture....I just can't change the Lock Screen picture.) Suggestions, please? - Many Thanks SYSTEM INFO: 8 GB RAM, Win 10 Pro 64-bit, v.20H2, OS build 19042.1288, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0. 8 GB RAM,

 

Cannot update Windows 11 to build 22h2

Need more help than support web site offers. I would like to update a Windows Pro 21h2 to 22h2.

I've tried every suggestion at Troubleshoot problems updating Windows - Microsoft Support short of "Perfrom a clean installation of Windows 11." That list is comprehensive and includes everything I would have thought of on my own and then some. None of the troubleshooting suggestions solved the problem. The system in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n desktop running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2.

In addition to all the steps at the above link, I've also tried installing by using Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Installation Assistant downloads and goes through the long installation process. But then very shortly after the reboot starts, it says, "Undoing changes" and boots back into the old build.

 

Lock Screen keeps changing

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.
