Windows 10: I cannot complete a factory reset on my laptop. Please help?

I was trying to perform a factory reset on my hp laptop, and everything was initially going well. I selected "remove everything", "just remove my files" and clicked reset to initiate the reset and went to get some coffee. I came back 2 minutes later to find my sign in screen showing the time and asking me to sign in. From there I went back to the "choose an option" page via holding shift+restart and probably stupidly followed the same above steps to start the reset process a second time. I then waited, saw the hp logo with a "resetting your computer 1%" message and then I was brought back to the " choose an option" menu I had just navigated twice and then proceeded to shut down the computer. What do I do from here to finish a factory reset? Also, while I can log in, I cannot access the windows settings menu, apparently I dont have an app associated with it. Control panel works fine though.

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

 

Ive factory reset my computer but I can't use the mouse or the keyboard to select laugage

I can't factory reset my laptop.

So recently, I dual-booted my ASUS VivoBook F510UA so I could run Ubuntu alongside Windows 10 on a live USB. After one point when I removed the USB while the laptop was off, I turned on my laptop and encountered the blue screen of death. I cannot even boot
into Windows 10 or reach the login screen. My laptop failed to repair itself, so I decided to just reset my laptop to factory settings to resolve everything.

So basically, I wanted to reset my laptop and I tried to reset my laptop to windows 10 but during the reset process, there was an error and no changes were made. Does anyone know how I can rest my laptop to factory settings?

PS I want to keep my windows 10, so would I be able to reset my laptop and keep windows 10?
