Windows 10: I cannot create a new playlist in windows 11 media player legacy

I cannot create a new playlist in windows 11 media player legacy. I also cannot go in and add artist information or title changes.

Windows Media Player Legacy

Windows media player legacy will not save the playlist for some reason and on the new media player, they released you can't create or save a playlist. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and am still having the same issue of not being able to save my playlist. How can I fix the windows media player legacy issue? Is Microsoft aware of the new media player issues?

 

New media player not creating playlists

I am running Windows 11 Pro all updates installed, along with the new Media Player app with all updates installed, on a Dell Dimension XPS-8940 11th Gen Intel Core i9 with 16 cores, 64GB memory. My Music files are in a music directory on a Synology NAS drive. Media Player works perfectly, has my whole Library stored, but refuses to create a playlist. When I tell it to create a new playlist and enter the name, it does not create the playlist. When I click on playlists in the left-hand menu pane, it tells me there are no playlists create. When I try to add music to a playlist, it again tells me there are none. I can go to a music subdirectory in Fle Explorer, and tell it to play all files in a directory, it will open media player and play everything, but I just can't create a playlist. I can even add all files to the open media player, and check the boxes and play just what I want, but I can't save a playlist. Can Anyone help?
