    I have a file on my SSD and I can't find it to delete it. Windows shows its taking up space as shown in the attached screen shot. When I click uninstall that message appears. I have tried searching it in file and I cannot find it either. Its an old game I deleted. Can anyone help?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink I cannot delete/find a file on my C drive Windows cannot find 'C:\EFT\Uninstall.exe'. Make... ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    C Drive icon disapear?

    I was trying to install need for speed pro street demo. I install it in C drive directory. Somehow it got currupted.. so I delete the files manually in C drive and reboot and download pro street again.

    Now my C drive picture Icon disapear and now it just a white square. Did when I was deleting pro street files in C drive somehow it effect the C drive icon? or did I accidently delete something that is not pro street file?

    How do I make my C drive picture Icon back?

    Change partition as system and to drive C

    As far as I'm aware Windows is mostly used as the C drive, therefore it is unable to delete itself so to speak, I'd recommend using your Windows installation disc and reinstalling the OS of your choice onto the known C drive. and whilst using the Windows disc delete/format the other drives/partitions to what you want/need.

    EDIT: just read your Win7 disc is screwed... how about cloning your Win7 installtion to the current C drive? However I don't think this will be as effective in the long term due to your drive setup and also will no doubt leave the Vista files.
