    I cannot download and install windows update with the error code of 0x80070103.


    I cannot download and install the Windows update with the error code 0x80070103. I cannot install "ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. - System - 3.1.13.0, 2023-04 Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems KB4023057", "2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 for x64 KB5022730", "Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30305.350.0"My PC is Asus TUF.

    How to handle Install error - 0x80070103

    I followed the steps through Windows Terminal (PowerShell) in admin mode and now windows update is no longer throwing Install error - 0x80070103 but is now throwing a new Download error - 0x80248014

    What should I try now?

    I cannot download and install windows update with the error code of 0x80070103.

    Install error - 0x80070103

    Windows Update keeps listing an available update, but when I run Update, I get an error: Intel - Net - 12.18.9.20 Install error - 0x80070103

    I run the Windows Update troubleshooter (the one in Windows, not the download mentioned in so many articles with the broken link), and it finds a problem, and says it fixed it, but the problem persists. I attached an image of the issues below.

    I have tried

    • uninstalling the Intel adapters in Device Manager
    • the process of renaming catroot2 and SoftwareDistribution as in this post
    • ran system file checker, it found and fixed corrupted files
    Nothing has worked.
