Windows 10: I CANNOT DOWNLOAD OR UPDATE ANYTHING. SOMETHING IS BLOCKING MY UPDATES OR MY DOWNLOADS

so i have a high end PC because i am a student of digital background. I do gaming when i am free and i run 3d modelling and drafting softwares when i work.
The problem here is that i cannot update or download anything. Well whenever i download anything, it usually or generally says Failed- Network Error.

I cannot even update or download my windows update. it keeps showing error( Image attached)

I run steam for my games, that also, i cannot update. it keeps on looping at first and then it says Steam needs to be online to update when there is proper internet connection. (image attached)

I also tried to run tencent gaming buddy emulator to play pubg mobile and the download gets stuck on 25%


Nothing works. No download works. No update works. I have a small doubt that the issue is caused by some problems with proxy but unable to figure it out
I HAVE A PROPER INTERNET CONNECTION. ALL MY WEB BROWSING WORKS PERFECTLY.

Who's downloaded the Windows 8.1 preview update?

For some reason the installer says the update is not applicable to your computer? (Win 8 Pro x64) anyone else try this what was released today?

EDIT: It appears the error is because the download is named Windows8-RT-KB2849636-x64 so looks like it's only for ARM based RT Windows 8 versions even though there's nothing suggesting that on the actual download page, so where's the x86 8.1 update people?

 

Vista x64 won't download updates?

The last updates on my home desktop are dated 16th June.
I've powered it on some 3 or 4 times since then, but nothing was downloaded automatically as per settings.

I tried the manual update from the CP but I get an error code 80070002.

I did the troubleshooting suggested (i.e. stop the Windows Update service, delete the temporary update files, restart the Windows Update service, and then try to check for Windows updates again) but I still keep getting the same error code, even after rebooting *Confused

What gives?
