    I cannot find a font family I'm using in Adobe Illustrator in my Windows/Fonts folder


    I have to provide a font that I used on a project in Adobe Illustrator to my client, so I'm trying to locate it the Windows/Fonts folder on my computer... when I search for the font, it does not appear... the font family is very large, with a lot of different style options, so I have no choice but to use this font... any help/insight would be appreciated!

    Fonts missing from folder (not 3rd party fonts!)

    There are very few fonts (around 140) in my fonts folder on windows. When using an office program like word - there are far more available. For example, I was using Adobe illustrator and wanted to use the 'Cooper Black' font, It wasn't in the list.

    I opened Word to check if it was installed, and it was there available for use in Word. I then go to the fonts folder in windows to see what's going on (assuming it's an issue with Illustrator maybe not scanning all the fonts, but I find that the 'Cooper
    Black' font is not in this folder at all.

    So my question is; where is it, and how do I make all of these fonts appear in the folder and across all programs?!

    Installing OpenType Font

    I am using Windows 10 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I purchased some specialized fonts to use in Adobe Illustrator. The directions I found online regarding installation say install them in the Fonts folder in Windows first.

    I followed the steps but the Fonts drag and drop box will not accept them. Any suggestions?

    "Installed" fonts not showing up in Windows Fonts folder

    This was happening to me, too. As a workaround, try copying the fonts directly into your InDesign fonts folder on your C drive, and they should show up.

    Program Files \ Adobe \ Adobe InDesign \ Fonts
