Windows 10: I cannot free up space on my PC.

I literally cannot free up anymore space on my PC. I can't delete anything, I can't reset my PC since space is needed to do so, I can't reinstall. I can't even update my PC anymore. I run disk cleanup, but it does nothing. I don't know what to do. I have deleted literally EVERYTHING. When I say that, I mean everything. Everything I have downloaded, every picture saved, everything. And still there is nothing left on the main disk drive. I don't know what to do. I try to use my USB drive to store downloads but it still automatically goes to the C: drive and I don't know how to change that. I don't know what to do.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

If a category can't show the folders that it contains, there is a possibility that the folders are somehow hidden. To maximize your PC's storage, follow the suggested steps in these links:

Not enough space even though there is space

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We will surely assist you with the issue. Refer the below steps.

Step 1:

I suggest you to change the file system to NTFS while formatting and then try copying the files and check.



Step 2:

• • Take the backup of the data, if you have any important data in it?
    
  • Let’s format the drive and check.
    
  • Go to this PC.
    
  • Right click on the external USB device.
    
  • Select Format.

Note: Formatting will delete all the data in the device, taking a backup of the data is recommended before performing a format.
