Discus and support I cannot get Microsoft apps to update and Norton claims its putting my computer at risk in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I cannot get seven Microsoft and Windows apps to update.     I cannot get seven Microsoft and Windows apps to update. According to Norton, it is putting my computer at risk. Please help.

    Will my computer be at risk if I use Windows Defender instead of Norton 360?

    Dell won't down load Norton because a certain item wasn't installed at the factory so a company outside of Dell wants 99 dollars to install the security part and down load Norton on my machine. never had any trouble with Norton on any machine before this.

    Suggest you seek advice and assistance from Norton Support and/or the Norton Forum.

    Norton Security not loading with Windows 10 - Why?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft community forums!

    I would recommend you follow the below given steps and check if it fixes the issue.

    I would suggest you to restart the Norton services from the services list, and set the Norton service to automatic.

    Follow these steps to run Norton services:

    Method 1:

    Follow these steps to run Norton services

    a. Press Windows key + R

    b. In the run windows, type services.msc

    c. It will open services windows

    d. select norton services from the list of services

    e. double click on it

    f. At the top of the window, Make sure the service status is started and startup type is
    automatic.

    g.Click apply and OK.

    If this does not fix the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling Norton software and check if it helps.

    If the above steps do not help , I would suggest you to contact Norton for further help.

    Will my computer be at risk if I use Windows Defender instead of Norton 360?

    I have windows 10, and I have Norton 360 which I have installed, will my computer be at risk of anything if I use windows defender alone and remove the Norton ?
