Windows 10: I cannot get my quickbooks program to load. Says computer MSXML has become damaged. Need...

I cannot get my Quick books program to load. Message pop-up says "computer MSXML has become damaged. " Need it repaired, any ideas? Quick books told me to contact Micro Soft to fix it, but I can't seem to find ANYONE who talk me through how to fix it online...

MSXML version...

Hi There,

I can see that MSXML 6.0 v6.30.17763.1339 is installed on the machine. I want to know the service pack version of this.

I used following steps to find file version of msxml6.dll:

To determine the MSXML version that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:

1. Locate the Msxml6.dll file in the following directory:
   C:\Windows\System32
   
2. Right-click the Msxml6.dll file, and then click Properties.
   
3. Click the Details tab to see the version information.
   

I want to know the SP version of msxml6.dll file version: 6.30.17763.1339.

Looks like it is MSXML 6.0SP3 but I am not sure. Please help.

Quickbooks backup

To address your concern, kindly help us with the following questions:

1. Are you trying to create a backup file or restore it?
   
2. When you say ‘it kicks out’, do you mean you are out of the application? Or is it getting stuck?
   
3. Which version of QuickBooks is installed on your machine?
   
4. Do you read any error code/message regarding the issue?
   

This issue could occur when the backup location is no longer accessible. So, I suggest you to verify the file location and reboot your computer. If that doesn’t help, you may check if the steps listed below and see if it helps.

Method: Repair the application.

• On the Start menu, enter Control Panel in the search box and select Control Panel from the results.
  
• Select Programs > Programs and Features, and then select the program (QuickBooks Online).
  
• To fix the program, select Repair or, if that’s not available,
  Change.
  
• Follow the directions on the screen.
  

If repair application doesn’t work, I would suggest you to Uninstall the application and
Re-install it.

However, I would suggest you to contact Intuit QuickBooks support to re-install the application.
