    Let me be very clear.

    After upgrading from 1903 to 20H2 Windows 10, the first screen is the log in screen where you type in your PIN. Because there were security changes due to the upgrade, the PIN needed to be reset.

    The message appears: "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change in the security settings on this device. Restart your device to see if that fixes the problem." Rebooting did not. I've rebooted into Safe Mode with Command Prompt and am met with the same message.

    I've rebooted and selected F10 for more options and that just brings me back to the typical log on screen.

    I have a link to "Set up my PIN". But when I use that, the verification wants to send a text message to my land line...my daughter set up the machine and even at 18 she didn't know Microsoft only sends text messages and refuses to call anymore - just like I cannot call for support anymore.


    I've tried many, many times to reset the PIN, but MS has placed a "Hold" on the machine until sometime in March...around the 10th I think.


    I've logged in to the account on my main pc, but I cannot change anything. Every time I attempt to change something in the account phone number; edit; etc. I get this:

    This site requires a security code to sign in. When your security info updates on 3/10/2021 you will be able to access this site. You can still access sites such as Outlook and Skype that don't require a security code.

    On 2/8/2021 you requested that your security info be replaced.


    That's because the very first time I was met on the pc log on to reset the PIN, because the phone number was a land line and not a mobile, the account was put on hold. No matter what I've tried, I can't get into the machine.


    This is NOT right! I'm not allowed to get tech support. I'm not allowed to change the information in an account for which I not only have the PIN but the password.

    All of this is because...the phone number is a land line. Really?!


    If someone from Microsoft, or representing MS can come up with a resolve, great. I'm all ears.


    If that's not bad enough, the "Submit" button below was just disabled!!!

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Hi Michael,

    It appears that you're having problems logging in to your computer. For us to effectively assist you with your concern, we would like to know the following:

    • Did you make any changes to your computer prior to the issue?
    • Are you using a Microsoft account to log in?
    • Have you tried restarting your PC?
    • Can you log in to other user accounts on your computer?
    • Have you taken any troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem?
