Windows 10: I cannot log into any Microsoft applications after getting my old account hacked and...

A few months ago, my Microsoft account was hacked by Russian malware. They created an email on my account and then deleted my email, along with my 2fa and sign-in recovery options. I had to change all my passwords because they were saved to my Microsoft account. I tried every recovery method, but the support team could not help me, so I decided to create a new Microsoft account, which is my current one. Since then, I've noticed that I cannot log in to the Microsoft Store or any apps that open the Microsoft account log-in pop-up. I re-bought Minecraft and was excited to play, but I realized I n

Also may I suggest you change email accounts to one of the following.....

Gmail
Outlook

The reason is they both use "Step two verification". This style of verification means even if a hacker gets your password they cannot log in to your account. You see every time someone try's to log in that hasn't been verified you will get a text or a phone call giving you a final code to log in. Its very easy and simple to setup also. The great thing is once you setup your Email application with a specific "application password" from that account you never have to log in again AND your account is protected from being logged in from foreign entities.

I like the new outlook personally however Gmail is also damn good. Gmail also has an IP tracker that allows you to see WHERE the account has been logged in from. Anyway let us know if you wanna change over and have any questions. We will be happy to help and welcome to TPU!

Old Microsoft account hacked by rambler.ru

My previous Microsoft account has been hacked by someone with the rambler.ru domain. I was able to log back into it using their changed email address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) and the old password that they did not change. Unfortunately I don't have access to their email so I cannot make sure that a password change or account closure goes through after 30 days. I also have my Minecraft account associated with that microsoft account. Is there anything I can do to recover the Minecraft account or recover the entire Microsoft account from the hacker's control?
