Hello,

I have had my computer for only 4 days after waiting for it to be shipped over a month. THIS IS A BAND NEW COMPUTER!

upon set up I set up my face Id, finger print and password. I noticed yesterday that my face id stopped working. Then today I tried logging in with my pin, password and finger print on four separate occasions and each time 3 out 4 log in options gave me an
error of “something went wrong, and your pin isnt available (code: 0x80090027) try reatarting your computer to see if that fixes the problem.

each time some type of log in did not work. I followed the steps for a safe mode restart and the problem is still continuing. I tried to change the pass codes for each and the fingerprint. I even tried to remove them and it does not allow me to remove my

Hi, I have a minor log in problem after coming out of a sleep, I normally use a pin to log in but recently when I enter a pin it will say I have miss input the keys then after a few attempts it will give me the option to input a password this then does the same, If I then turn my surface pro off (this normally takes 2 or 3 attempts as it pushes me back to a log in screen) when I restart it logs in no problem. This only started yesterday and seems to be when it has been asleep for a few hours, I don't have things like hibernate or hybrid sleep active.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with entering the password before log-in to the computer, we will help you with this issue.

I would like to inform that Windows 10 is by design you will have to enter a password to log-in as an Administrator account with Microsoft account. Local accounts can be used without entering any user account credentials.

This feature is being implemented to make more secure with the user profiles.

Also, Sign in with a Microsoft account

If you are not comfort to enter long letters of password to sign-in, you
may also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + I keys to open
  settings menu.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• Click on Add under PIN.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
• Sign out and try to sign in again using
  PIN as your Sign in option.
