I cannot make a new volume out of unallocated space on my disk.

I have about 150 GB of unallocated space recently opened after deleting my second Windows. First, I was able to make it into a New Volume, although I decided to delete the volume to merge it to an existing drive. I tried the "Extend Volume" option, however, an Error popped up: "There is not enough space available on the disk to complete this operation." Afterward, I wasn't even able to create a new volume with the space.

I have tried Rescan disks and Refresh, and they didn't work. I cannot seem to be able to use this 150 GB in any way. This is a screenshot of my Disk Management:

    I would appreciate your help.

    :)

  2. Not be able to creat new volume in unallocated space in disk

I have tried to make partition in D drive. now Iis t showing two partition with one partition label as unallocated space and non of them as d drive. now if I am trying to convert unallocated space as new volume it is showing error as "The operation you
selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operating systems from any volume on the disk(s)(except the current boot volume)." so what should I do now?

  3. Recover Unallocated Disk Space

    Hi,DawnWilliams8

Sorry for this using the Disk Management tools

Step 1: Right-click Windows icon and select Disk Management.

Step 2: Locate and right-click on unallocated space in Disk Management, select "New Simple Volume".

Step 3: Specify the partition size and click "Next" to continue.

Step 4: Set a drive letter, file system - NTFS, and other settings to the new partitions. Click "Finish" to complete creating a new partition.

after putting a driver letter, you can try again the diskpart

    Regards,

    Erik
