Windows 10: I cannot sign-in to my local account with password

Hi,I have created a new local account on my computer no link to microsoft account. When I tried to switch to that account, most of the sign-in options are linked to microsoft account asking me for email. The only option that allows me to type in the username is to use PIN. However, I've never set PIN when creating the account. The system only asked me to set password. Leaving the PIN blank didn't work error message about incorrect password. In summary, the sign-in options here are 1 to use email address which I've never set and a password or 2 to use username and a PIN which again I'v

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

In order to sign in with your local password, you need to set your computer to sign in with your local account instead of your Microsoft account. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your account.
  
• In the right pane, click the option Sign in with a local account instead.
  
• To confirm that you authorize the changes, enter the password for your Microsoft account, then hit
  Next.
  
• On the Switch to a local account page, input your local user name and password.
• Click Next to sign out from your Microsoft account and sign back in using your local account.

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
